The Rocktron HUSH Pro Rack Mount Noise Reduction Unit is the industry standard for reducing, eliminating and exterminating noise problems with over three decades of professional use in the field. The Rocktron HUSH Pro has both 1/4″ and XLR inputs and outputs, and is easy to setup and use. Wipe out noise, eliminate hiss, crackle and other noise problems with the very best, award-winning, noise reduction circuitry possible. With a dynamic range of 105dB and 72dB of effective noise reduction, the Rocktron HUSH Pro is a valuable tool in the studio, on stage, or in a guitar rig. This is a quality rack mounted noise eliminator that can be used to eliminate noise from a wide array of sources., or to curb feedback when connected to a mixer. When used correctly, the Rocktron HUSH Pro is completely transparent, not affecting the audio signal. The Rocktron HUSH Pro front panel provides two controls which each manipulate both channels simultaneously. The HUSH Threshold control sets the amount of noise reduction required for a given input signal, while the Gate Threshold control provides additional downward expansion when increased.
The Rocktron HUSH Pro is the perfect tool for touring and recording guitarists as it leaves your tone intact, while wiping out noise from preamps, stomp boxes, effects units and more. Unlike a tone-squashing noise gate stompbox the Rocktron V.I.R. (Variable Integrated Release) circuitry allows every note shine through and sustain naturally, without the typical noise gate pedal “chop-off”. Rocktron guitar pedals are designed in the USA and are the choice of many famous guitar players, especially the Rocktron rack mounted units. About Noise Gate Pedals
A noise gate pedal is used to eliminate hum and noise from the guitar signal chain. It works by eliminating sound signals below a set level which is chosen using a control knob on the effect pedal. Basically, a noise gate allows the main audio signal to pass through only when it is above a set threshold point eg the gate is open. If the signal falls below the threshold point, no signal is allowed to pass, eg the gate is closed. The noise gate pedal can be used to eliminate hum and hiss noise caused by the high gain feature of distortion effect pedals and other booster effects. A noise gate does not remove noise from the signal itself, it only eliminates it when there is a quieter passage in the guitar solo. Gates typically feature ‘attack’, ‘release’, and ‘hold’ settings and may feature a ‘look-ahead’ function. There are both cheap and expensive models on the market Products to check up on are the Behringer NR300 Noise Reducer, the Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor, the Pigtronix Gatekeeper Noise Gate and the TC Electronic Iron Curtain Noise Gate.
